Amy Powers is an Emmy® and Annie® nominated lyricist and songwriter and producer who creates songs for film, television, theater, animation, pop and country artists, theme parks and children’s brands. Additionally, with songwriter/vocal coach Arden Kaywin, she co-owns Pitch Perfect, a demo and consulting service for developing artists.

Amy is a Harvard-trained lawyer and Columbia M.B.A. who practiced at White & Case before embarking on a writing career. Her work has since been featured in Oscar® and Tony® winning productions and recorded by #1-selling and multi-platinum artists worldwide. Corporate clients include Mattel, Hasbro, Disney, Universal, Lionsgate, The Jim Henson Company, Film Roman and Activision.

Amy's lawyer-to-lyricist transition began in musical theater, where her first job was co-writing 'As If We Never Said Goodbye' and 'With One Look' for Andrew Lloyd Webber's SUNSET BLVD.

She then went on to write LIZZIE BORDEN, with composer Christopher McGovern and co-bookwriter/lyricist Bill Castellino, produced at the Goodspeed Opera House, and THE GAME, a musical version of Les Liaisons Dangereuses, produced by Barrington Stage Company, starring Sara Ramirez.

Currently, Amy can be found in recording studios around the country, writing songs for hit Disney, Nickelodeon, FX, and FOX telvision shows, as well as budding pop stars, movies and recording artists.
